KPMG 1987 to 1992

I worked for KPMG in London as part of the Actuarial Services team with the Management Consultancy practice.

For the last 18 months I was group manager for the General Insurance team, which covered day-to-day management of the team

Whilst with KPMG I worked on a range of projects

• Strategic advice on entering home insurance market for a recent demutualised building society
• Part of project team working on privatisation of Polish insurer PZU
• Assisting a building society develop its business plans for insurance
• Claims reserving advice to both clients and KPMG audit practice
  • This included Swedish and Singaporean insurers
• Improving management information for a Lloyd's motor syndicate
• Supporting KPMG Corporate Recovery on administration of failed insurer
• Assisting a Car Leasing business negotiate an insurance partnership
